Paul L. Gawley

Paul L. Gawley's background is highly unique and rarely unmatched in the construction profession. Gawley's construction background spans from project field supervision, to project management, from managing the construction on the Contractor's side, to managing the project's delivery from the Owner's side which includes the site acquisition due diligence, master planning, design, construction through close-out and disposition. Working within these two  environments offered very differant perspectives, however Gawley has come to understand and effectively manage both the construction and real estate development process, providing a successful delivery from both the Owner and Contractor's persective. With Paul's deep construction roots, he has the experience and ability to provide a comprehensive project oversight, managing construction risk.

Gawley has managed projects from mixed-use high-rises to the 1-story freestandanding building, from ground-up construction to capital improvements and tenant improvements, from site development projects to complicated off-site infrastructure improvements.  Markets include mixed-use, retail, multi-family, office, industrial and special-use.

Prior to Gawley Construction, Inc. (GCI), Paul Gawley held the position as Senior Vice President of Construction at ORIX Real Estate Equities, Inc., a Top "50" national real estate development company. Prior to ORIX, Gawley worked for Schal Associates, Inc. (currently Bovis Lend Lease) which at the time was the leading commercial construction firm located in Chicago, Illinois.

Gawley began his long construction career working on a concrete crew, to serving in the U.S. Navy SeaBees (Construction) as a heavy equipment operator. With a formal education in Building Construction, Paul has held positions as a construction time keeper, estimator, project superintendent, project manager, project executive, Vice President, Senior Vice President of Construction, to now President of Gawley Construction.
